Colin Crane is the owner and operator of Crane Strength and Conditioning. He discovered his passion for fitness and health while doing physical training as a firefighter. He began his journey into the world of weightlifting, CrossFit, and coaching in 2007. During this time as a firefighter/paramedic in Central Florida Colin started working and training at CrossFit Daytona. He began training athletes, and began to compete as a CrossFit athlete making it to Regional’s of the 2011 CrossFit Games. Over the next year Colin continued to hone his skills as an athlete and ability as a coach and trainer. Colin has had the fortune to train and mentor under some of the most respected and knowledgeable coaches on the east coast. He traveled throughout the state competing and training athletes. In 2012 he was given the opportunity to move to Southern California. Being a firefighter was a rewarding and amazing experience, but he knew his future involved the fitness and the sport community so Colin made the cross country move. Since getting here he has continued his education in the science of coaching, mentoring under USA Weightlifting Hall of Fame coach Bob Tokano. In March of 2014 he founded Nomad Barbell Club the only competitive weightlifting club in Pasadena. Every single weightlifter and athlete who has the opportunity to work with Colin sees his dedication to them and their success. He stays current with new training methods, and is continually educating himself in ways to better help his athletes. His current focus is on Nomad Barbell Club and high school athlete development which he does through Crane Strength & Conditioning.
